ENLIGHTENMENT BY SELF-INQUIRY–pt190
[The Teaching of Non-Duality has been adapted from Master Nome, disciple of Sri Ramana Maharshi. Sections appended below derive from Sri Ramana's Teaching.]
We can say that one form of the Mind's thinking is Sensing & that Sensing contains within it the Objects, which are imagined to be external, according to the Bodily orientation. The World is composed of just the Mind. Seeing the World within the Mind, you know that there is nothing to which to be attached. Seeing the World within the Mind, & standing apart as the "Knower of the Mind:, you are not of the World. The attributes & definitions of the World are not yours. You are not in the World, & you are not of the World. When we see the World & the Mind in this way, the significance of Limitless Consciousness, or Infinite Consciousness, which is to be known as your Existence, strikes home.
[Sri Ramana]
To realize the Self is Here & Now. If it were not so, but attainable by some efforts at some other time, & if it were new & something to be acquired, it would not be worthy of pursuit. Because what is not natural cannot be permanent either. But what I say is that the Self alone is Here & Now.
