ENLIGHTENMENT BY SELF-INQUIRY–pt196

[The Teaching  of Non-Duality has been adapted from Master Nome, disciple of Sri Ramana Maharshi.  Sections appended below derive from Sri Ramana's Teaching.]

Consciousness, without which anything appended to Consciousness, is the Natural State (sahaja) of the Self.   Of all one's Ideas & Perceptions, which of them can be said to actually be one's True Nature ?  Though one may regard the clearer more spiritual Concepts & Perceptions as closer than cloudier ones, the clearest Concepts & Perceptions, being mere reflections of something beyond, none of them are actually the Consciousness itself.  Consciousness, which is of the nature of the Self, transcends all Concepts & Perceptions.  It is just so & always so.  Therefore to abide in the Natural State of the Self, to know the everpresent nature of  Existence & Consciousness, practice Self-Inquiry to know what is everpresent without a break for all Time.

[Sri Ramana]

There is no Creation, no Destruction, no Bondage, no longing to be freed from Bondage, no striving for Liberation, nor anyone who has attained Liberation. Know that this to be Ultimate Truth.
